Datsun 1200 original upholstery was a very lightweight material. Colors available varied by market. Most common was black vinyl seats and door panels, beige headliner and interior panel trim, and blue rubber floor mats.

Japan

USA
- black vinyl

Australia-built sedans were offered with a variety of seat colors including red and blue.
1973 USA upholstery to meet USA fire-resistant regulations. Black at first, and in mid-year white or blue became available.
Seats
Datsun 1200 lightweight vinyl. Coupe seat covers are made from two vinyl materials:
- inserts: 1/2" square pattern vinyl cut on 45° angle
- perimeter cloth: Leather-like vinyl
The inserts have five sewn pleats down the center.
