Hitachi D4A distributor debuted in 1973 or 1974 and features a larger cap than the D40/D41 used in Datsun 1200.
Overview
D4A superseded the early 1960s design Hitachi Distributors, and was used in the following:
- L-series engines
- A-series engines

On the side of the distributor is the 10-digit Nissan part number which will positively identify the make, model and year of the distributor.
