Datsun 1200 came with carpet covering the transmission tunnel in the front seat area. Rubber mats cover the floor.

The carpet was a blue/back or yellow/black houndstooth pattern:

Upscale GL and GX models had a 'foot patch' on the tunnel carpet next to the clutch pedal.

Rubber mats cover the floor of most 1200s, except for the rare full-carpeted car.

Tunnel carpet is NLA (No Longer Available) from Nissan in the USA, Canada and Japan.

AUS: Knox carpet fits the automatic tunnel, is a bit large for the standard manual transmission tunnel and will gather about the gathers at the sides near the doors. Fitting an extra layer of insulation will help.

From the factory, only the tunnel had insulation, a jute type. Additionally there are some asbestos heat shields on the floor which also have some noise-dampening characteristics.
