Datsun 1200 original upholstery was a very lightweight material. Colors available varied by market. Most common was black vinyl seats and door panels, beige headliner and interior panel trim, and blue rubber floor mats.

  • cloth with various patterns & color (GL and GX trims)


USA

  • black vinyl
  • beige vinyl


Australia-built sedans were offered with a variety of seat colors including red and blue.


1973 USA upholstery to meet USA fire-resistant regulations. Black at first, and in mid-year white or blue became available.

Seats

Datsun 1200 lightweight vinyl. Coupe seats used two vinyl materials:

  • Leather-like random pattern on edges of seat
  • Inserts of square-pattern vinyl with sewn pleats down center
