Datsun 1200 original upholstery was a very lightweight material. Colors available varied by market. Most common was black vinyl seats and door panels, beige headliner and interior panel trim, and blue rubber floor mats.

Japan

• black vinyl
• yellow vinyl
• cloth with various patterns & color (GL and GX trims)

USA

• black vinyl
• beige vinyl

Australia-built sedans were offered with a variety of seat colors including red and blue.

1973 USA upholstery to meet USA fire-resistant regulations. Black at first, and in mid-year white or blue became available.

Headliner

Ready made

• eBay sellers offer Datsun headliners with the bow-stay loops in them (custom fit for the specific car model)

DIY

• off-white perforated with 1/8" integrated foam backing

Seats

Datsun 1200 lightweight vinyl. Coupe seat covers are made from two vinyl materials:

• inserts: 1/2" square pattern vinyl cut on 45° angle
• perimeter cloth: Leather-like vinyl

The inserts have five sewn pleats down the center.

Seat covers fold under and are attached via hog rings (hook rings)
