The 7up soft drink -- The Uncola -- has a long association with Datsun vehicles.

This Datsun B210 was in a commercial for the "Un-cola" (7-up soda). This car has the same white/green color scheme as the 7-up can. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncola

Also this was a backlash to the "gas guzzlers" during the 1974 oil crisis
