Datsun A-series engines use tubular steel pushrods. Oil does not travel through the pushrods, but are oiled from above by the Rocker arms.

Length
It is important to use the correct length for proper Rocker geometry. If the cylinder head is skimmed beyond the service limit, or the block deck is cut down, custom push rods are needed.
* 141.5 mm: A10 * 152 mm: short-deck engines (A12, A12A, and 1980 A13) * ~167 mm: tall-deck engines (A14, A15, and 1974 A13)

Datrats - Custom pushrods made to length from VW pushrods and using the A-series cup. They sit the turned down cup shaft on a ledge in the alloy. Custom made to your length and cheap.

Roller Rocker Pushrods
- Many local speed shops can make custom pushrods
- Yella Terra sold their pushrod tooling to "Head Stud Developments" in Melbourne
- Crow Cams also provide pushrods to customer order, approx. 6.650-6.600 inches long (for A14/A15 subject to your needs) 0.080 wall thickness, Chrome Moly
- Iskenderian Part# 1235L+.50. - custom pushrods for roller rockers (small block Chevy, +0.050 inch length), 8mm (5/16") ball ends
- Isky also sells an adjustable pushrod ("universal" pushrod kit for Chevy smallblock)
