2393 cc OHC 151 bhp (SAE) 6-cylinder engine with twin SU type carburettors. Suspension independent all round. Power-assisted brakes, discs at the front, self-adjusting drums at the rear. Rack and pinion steering, collapsible steering column. 5-speed, all synchromesh gearbox. Max speed 125 mph. 0 to 60 mph in 8 seconds.Equipment includes tachometer, clock and 140 mph speedometer, fully reclining high-backed seats, two-speed anti-lift wipers, screenwashers, hazard warning switch, headlamp flasher, centre console box, carpet, glove compartment with lamp (map reading), heated rear window, rear air spoiler.
The 240Z has achieved impressive successes in rallies, including winning the 1971 East African Safari and the 1971 Welsh Rally.
