The Timing Cover is the aluminum part on the front of the engine that covers the Timing Chain. It also has a timing mark on the cover and houses the crankshaft pulley seal.

Matched Set

Depending on the country, 1971 or 1972 saw newer timing covers which differ from earlier covers. Each one matches a certain pulley.

Interchange

The same covers are used by A10, A12, A12A, A13, A14 and A15, except for the first type:

1. Original Datsun 1000 timing cover, for single-row timing chain
   13035-18000 ASSY-COVER TIMING CHAIN
2. to June 1970, with single timing mark (pulley has multiple marks)
   13035-18001 ASSY-COVER TIMING CHAIN
[updated to fit Double timing chain & pressure tensioner]
3. from June 1970, with multiple timing marks (pulley has single mark)
13035-H1000 (or from second source: 13035-H1010)
   [Fits all A10 blocks]

Interchange is same for same. The last two will interchange if the complete set (matching pulley & cover) is used.
