+ | Most EFI inlet manifolds are of the 'log' type - with (for an inline four motor for example) 4 downward runners that curve inward to the ports in the head, and a 'log' across the top connecting them. As agricultural as that sounds, it creates a necessary/desirable amount of turbulence and helps keep fuel suspended and satisfactorily distributed and mixed to produce good power -- and without danger of leaning out. This is use with a single throttle body at the entrance to the log. Using a large TB mean it can flow as much HP as the engine needs -- log manifold are not limited in power. The log acts as the plenum (air chamber) feeding the cylinders. | ||

To convert your engine to EFI can obtain a factory EFI manifold or use the stock downdraft manifold with an EFI throttle body, buy a port-injection manifold, or make your own.

Overview
Most EFI inlet manifolds are of the 'log' type - with (for an inline four motor for example) 4 downward runners that curve inward to the ports in the head, and a 'log' across the top connecting them.
Log manifold with tuned-length runners (short for maximum HP at high RPM)
Log manifold with long runners (for maximum HP at medium RPMs)
The alternative is the Individual Throttle Body (ITB) which uses four throttle bodies, and a single runner for each cylinder. It can be with a plenum, or without. Without plenum means it is highly susceptible to RPM, and with a plenum means the torque curve is fatter. ITB w/o plenum does not make more HP than without, though it does look cool.
Factory EFI
Datsun made a factory EFI manifold for the A-series engine.
Buffalo
Buffalo1200 made an aftermarket manifold for their South African-made ATV project, now since discontinued.
Danie van Vuuren supplied all the fuel injection components for the Buffalo ATV project. The intake manifold is custom made & high quality. As of September 2011, Danie could supply you a complete setup or just the bare manifold for about R1800.00 for the bare intake manifold.

Instead of Bike Carbs, how about Bike EFI? Motorcycle throttle bodies are a cost-effective way to go.

His A15 probably had the low-RPM camshaft and round-port cylinder head from a Vanette, rather than the 80HP A15 from a B310.

Custom
A tuned-runner manifold would not be hard to make one out of some steel tubing and a bit of 10mm plate for the flange, just need a throttle body around 50mm.
POST quote: Figure out exactly what you want, take some dimentions and a spare cyl head (if you have one) to an aluminum or stainless steel fabrication place eg, aluminium boat builder, have it fabricated ,then machined and bob's your uncle, you have an injection manifold. I'm an aluminium boat builder by trade, so I couldnt see it costing anymore than $250 - $350 max
Empson's innovative intake manifold allows use of stock exhaust manifold
You could also use a modified Hilborn injection manifold (A15 manifold with injector bosses welded on)
