The 1200s' front axle (spindle) is an integral part of the Strut assembly. The spindle, grease catcher, and knuckle arm (steering arm) complete the "Front axle".

Knuckle Arm

The "Knuckle arm" (steering arm) bolts to the balljoint, and the strut is bolted on top of the knuckle arm.
