Sunny 1200 ran five times to the moon To further ensure the high performance of the Sunny 1200, Nissan's development and testing department repeatedly conducted rigorous running tests. Various road conditions, test courses, expressways and highways all over Japan, and even full-scale freeway tests with the actual car, the total running distance was a whopping 39,075 km, which is the equivalent of running five times from the Earth to the Moon. Newly developed engine with high-speed performance design
(1) 世界のどのファミリーセダンと比べて見ても、性能で大きくそれを上回る新開発のく高速快走>設計エンジン. 1200cc68ps/6000rpm. 最大トル7 9.7kgm/3600rpm. It overwhelms other cars with its tenacity, especially at low and mid-speeds. It also has the ability to easily reach a top speed of 150km/h. The newly adopted 5-bearing crankshaft, 3-piece Kernot pairing with F770 metal, and high camshaft have made the engine twice or even three times more reliable in the harsh continuous high-speed endurance. It can be said to be a high-speed engine that will not flinch on Japanese highways or freeway driving in Europe and the United States. Moreover, the fuel consumption is ultra-economical, inheriting the tradition of the Sunny.
